Pest Control Bonnet Bay

Inspecting a Bonnet Bay home requires a deep understanding of valley ecology, river moisture, and steep sloping block architecture. We focus intensely on the perimeter bordering the bushland and the river. Because homes are built on steep inclines cascading down the valley, retaining walls and split-level subfloors create complex, highly damp microclimates. We check for funnel-web burrows in the moist, shaded soil, termite mud tubes ascending exterior concrete pillars, and rodent entry points along the roofline where the dense canopy overhangs the property.

The subfloor inspection is particularly critical in this valley. Homes often have expansive, stepped crawlspaces that trap moisture from rock runoff and river humidity. These dark, wet areas are highly attractive to subterranean termites foraging from the massive root systems of the surrounding reserves. We meticulously inspect the bearer and joist timbers, checking for any sign that the property’s physical or chemical termite barriers have been breached or compromised by natural soil movement or water flow.

Inside the home, we check roof voids where possums and bush rats frequently seek shelter during winter, often causing significant damage to insulation and wiring. We also inspect for large Huntsman spiders and Redbacks that wander indoors during summer storms, and assess window screening for vulnerabilities to the intense mosquito populations generated by the nearby waterways. Our goal is to establish a massive, multi-layered defensive perimeter.
