Pest Control Croydon

Inspecting a heritage property in Croydon requires a meticulous focus on how decades of established landscaping interact with historic construction. Our technicians begin by checking the boundary fence lines and deep garden beds along the leafy streets. The mature trees and heavy mulching serve as a massive breeding ground for Huntsman spiders, ground-dwelling arachnids, and large ant colonies, which frequently migrate toward the home during humid summer weather. Our technicians look for heavy ant trailing and spider webbing hidden in the manicured vegetation.

Next, we focus on the exterior structural defenses of the heritage home. Over the decades, elaborate landscaping, built-up garden beds, and paving additions almost always inadvertently bridge the home’s original damp-proof course or physical termite barriers. We meticulously inspect the exterior perimeter and complex, aging subfloor crawlspaces to identify these hidden vulnerabilities. Subterranean termites can silently access the internal timber framing through these bridged areas, threatening the irreplaceable structural integrity of the property.

Finally, we check expansive roof voids where overhanging branches from mature street trees have provided rodents or possums with easy access. The insulated, often complex roof spaces of these older homes are highly attractive to nesting roof rats during winter. We also examine older plumbing in historic bathrooms and laundries for signs of cockroach harbourage, and trace ant trails that originate in the garden but lead directly indoors. By identifying these environmental drivers, we design a full baiting and barrier program that shields your premium asset.
