Pest Control Putney

Inspecting a property in Putney requires a focused assessment of how river ecology interacts with established, often large-scale construction. Our technicians begin by evaluating the exterior perimeter, paying close attention to properties bordering the Parramatta River or local parks. The river environment provides perfect harbourage for large populations of spiders, particularly Huntsmans and garden orb weavers. We meticulously inspect garden beds, retaining walls, and fence lines for hidden burrows, establishing strong chemical barriers to prevent these spiders from migrating indoors during periods of heavy rain or extreme heat.

Next, we focus on the exterior structural defenses of your home in relation to the river humidity. Decades of landscaping, built-up garden beds, and paving additions often inadvertently bridge a home’s original damp-proof course or physical termite barriers. The constant moisture from the river keeps subfloors damp, creating the perfect environment for subterranean termites. We meticulously inspect these hidden vulnerabilities, checking older subfloor crawlspaces for dampness, poor ventilation, and the telltale mud tubes of foraging colonies threatening the home’s timber framing.

Finally, we check roof voids where coastal winds often damage aging eaves, providing rodents and possums with easy access. The insulated roof spaces of older, large homes are highly attractive to nesting roof rats during winter, particularly in homes bordering the waterfront. We also examine kitchens and bathrooms for signs of cockroach harbourage. By identifying these environmental drivers, we design a full baiting and barrier program that shields your premium riverfront home.
